Testing Some New Tech

So I am new to this and I am trying to get it right, because then, since I can’t figure out how to blog on my Droid, I can upload pictures and email the blog posts.

New Name

Soooo. I sit here, trying to re-work this blog, and I realized that my "Name" is Austin Army Wife... yet I no longer live in Austin. Well, the new city doesnt' sound as cool, and "super-ninja-princess-ey-Army-Wife" must be taken. lol What'sin a name anyhow, I thought it woudl be simple to just "pick" another "name" for myself, alas, it's not.  I mean, this is what identifies me when I comment on others, and so on and so forth. Hmmmm. Maybe Sparkely-Ninja-Army Wife... What do you think?

Well, because I am currently putting off homework, not a good start on my 2nd day back, and because they are a little fun, here is a short fun survey that one of my ladies sent to me.

1. What color are your socks right?  none, bare feet
2. What are you listening to right now?  my own breathing and hubby playing GD video games while I try to do homework, hence the survey.
3. What was the last thing you ate?  Turkey, black bean, & corn Chili - I AM going to be skinny
4. Can you drive a stick shift? Before I could drive an automatic.
5. Last person you spoke to on the phone? BB
6. Do you like the person who sent this to you? She is one of my BFFs
7. How old are you today? 34
8. What is your favorite sport to watch on TV? None, but if I HAVE to pick, football, doesn't matter what or who, I'm probably not paying attention.
9. What is your favorite drink? SWEET TEA!!
10. Have you ever dyed your hair? UM, have you met me? My hair is just now, for the first time in YEARS my natural color, ( I think) and I had to dye it to get it there recently.
11. Favorite food? Medium Rare filet, with bernaise sauce, asparagus, and some type of garlicy-buttery potatoes. 
12. What is the last movie you watched?  Halo, cause my husband is a nerd, and it was TERRIBLE!!
13. Favorite day of the year?  Day after Christmas, It's my wedding anniversary and I usually go shopping and spend the day with my momma, but I missed that this year and it made me very sad.
14. How do you vent? Talk to my self in the car, or call BB or J if I'm REALLY mad! 
15. What was your favorite toy as a child? My Gerber Baby doll, I still have it to this day.  
16. What is your favorite season?  Fall 
17. Cherries or blueberries?  Both, blueberries dipped in white chocolate is delish though! Can you tell I'm on a diet.

19. Who is the most likely to respond?  not sure

21. Living  situation: In my beautiful new house, with my hubby and our princess cat Isabel and my other fat bastard cat who is half goat, Maxwell, aka bubba 
22. When was the last time you cried? Um, who knows, the other day about something stupid I'm sure.
23. What is on the floor of your closet right now? Oh god I need more hangers and refuse to buy the crappy plastic cheap ones, so clothes  
24. Who is the friend you have had the longest that you are sending to? I haven't decided to send it to people yet   
25. What did you do last night? Went grocery shopping, cooked dinner, ate dinner, went on walk with hubby, took bath, went to bed.
26. What are you most afraid of? Hubby not getting a job soon, cause I may kill him, I mean he may die from boredom.  
27. Plain, cheese, or spicy hamburgers? Really, Spicy hamburgers? Who eats those? It depends on my mood, but never ever spicy anything 
28. Favorite dog breed? Usually anything small and annoying.
29. Favorite day of the week? Thursday, it's usually happy hour with my girls and the last day of work before the weekend.
30. How many states have you lived in? 3, not too many for a military wife. 
31. Diamonds or pearls? Is this really a question too? Diamonds of course, as I am part goldfish.
32. What is your favorite flower? OHH, African orchids, or tulips. They are both so unique and pretty.

He's Home... now what?

So, TS has been home a month tomorrow and it's been strange needless to say. I had surgery two days before he got home and was in a wheelchair for the first two and a half weeks. Plus, my mom was here when he got home (hey, someone had to help me in and out of bed), she was a godsend. Anyhow, back to the honey. SO, he's been home and other than him complaining about being a house-husband, things are going well. Everyone around me seems to be getting pregnant, and well, that bothers me. Not because of their lack of parenting skills, but because of my sheer jealousy. I know we are in a crunch time right now. I am getting older and I don't want to me an old mom, good lord, I'm already going to bed at 10 on Fridays, but I don't want to rush with him just coming home. Anyhow, enough baby talk.

He is bored out of his mind, and I'm sorry for that, you have a ton of leave and it's just dumb to sell it all back unless you are a technician and well, he's not. He doesn't have a job, and says he wants one, but the good ones, the ADOS ones and AGR ones are not up for a few weeks when the new budget gets approved. So, he can't do that either. He is however, going crazy, sitting at home, doing laundry, cooking dinner, cleaning up the house. Funny part about it though is why does it take men SO MUCH LONGER to do what I can get done in a couple hours. It takes him the entire day to do two loads of laundry, empty and god forbid, load, a dishwasher, and maybe vaccuum. REALLY? I guess Men really don't know how to multi-task, or don't want to. :-) Well, that's all I got right now... I'm off to take a bath... rest the foot. Which is doing better by the way, still looks pretty funky. Once I figure out how to upload pictures, I will get on that.
